about me
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Political Science Department at Rutgers University. My areas of concentration include American Politics, Public Law, and Research Methods.
My interests are in American political and constitutional development, federalism, political mobilization, the politics of rights and judicial policymaking. I thoroughly enjoy the commitment to teaching and have taught several courses at the undergraduate level, both in-person and online. These courses include Legal Philosophy of Rights and Justice, Politics of Environmental Issues, Constitutional Law I, Introduction to American Government, Introduction to Politics, The American Presidency, Civil Liberties and Civil Rights, and Law and Politics.
My research focuses on the dual legal system within the broader context of American Federalism. Specifically, I study state supreme court decision-making following landmark Federal Court cases, examining the causal mechanisms that influence decision-making processes and shape policy outcomes across the states. In this project, I employ a mixed-methods approach, combining several qualitative and quantitative elements to ensure an in-depth and robust perspective.
In my work, I maintain a strong interdisciplinary focus, integrating rigorous social theory with advanced computational methods and qualitative practices, to generate actionable insights from complex social data and political decision-making, often examining how these processes are shaped by contextual factors.
My experience includes extensive use of qualitative research methods to explore theory-driven questions and turn data into rich, meaningful insights. As well as developing, evaluating, and deploying online experiments and generative AI tools, specifically machine learning and natural language processing techniques, as these are often core components of my research.
I often create research-informed content, visual design, and audience-centered communication to express complex ideas with clarity and impact. I thoroughly enjoy integrating analytical insight with strong visual storytelling to support teaching, research dissemination, and professional projects.
